Synergistic Organizational Solutions offers a variety of workshops that provide tools which enhance the effectiveness of management. 

These workshops are two and one-half hours in length.  Each workshop describes some general principles, with specific applications of these principles connected to issues experienced by participants.

Workshops are also offered in a generic format.  The generic workshops cost $40 per participant.  

Below are the workshops currently available. 

DEALING WITH PROBLEM EMPLOYEES
     Why do some employees drive you nuts?  What can you do to address this problem?
     Problem employees are usually people who think and react differently than ourselves.  This workshop will help managers discover their own styles and learn strategies to use to work with people who think and react differently than they do.
 

EASING STRESS
     Stress is a normal part of life, but sometimes stress dominates and reduces our effectiveness.  What can you do to reduce stress?
     This workshop will provide tactics that can be used to reduce the impact of stress.  This workshop is appropriate for both employees and managers.
 

FINDING THE RIGHT EMPLOYEE
     Discover the details that ensure hiring the right person for the job.
 

GETTING EMPLOYEES TO DO THE WHOLE JOB
     Learn the strategies that help employees to do all of their job tasks.
 

LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS
     What are effective leadership behaviors?  How can you learn these behaviors?
      This workshop will explain the two dimensions of leadership behaviors, and provide opportunities to add behaviors that will enhance leadership effectiveness.
 

MANAGING CHANGE
     Change is uncomfortable.  What can you do to handle change for yourself and your employees?
     This workshop will address the principles of change and provide tools to use to minimize its disruptiveness.
 

ORGANIZING TIME
     We all have too much to do and too little time to do it in.  How can you "find" more time?
      This workshop provides participants with a way to organize time to be able to accomplish what they wish to do without feeling overwhelmed.
 

POWER OF LISTENING
     We spend years in school learning how to speak and write.  Discover how to listen effectively.
      Listening is a powerful way to enhance effectiveness and reduce misunderstanding.  This workshop will explain both verbal and non-verbal communication, and provide practice in developing more effective listening skills.
 

PREVENTING BURNOUT
     Burnout is a common malady that destroys our productivity and interrupts our career joy.  Understand this phenomenon and discover ways to prevent it.
 

REDUCING POSSIBILITY OF VIOLENCE
     Going "postal" isn't only for post offices.  Any organization could erupt.  How can you reduce the chance of that happening?
     This workshop will explore several theories of what underlies violence, and offer some tactics that organizations can use to reduce the likelihood of violence occurring.
 

RUNNING A MEETING
      Learn the dynamics of effective meetings.  How can you create productive meetings that people want to attend?
 

TEAM BUILDING
     How do you transfer your vision to your employees?  How can you help them become a cohesive group?
